Update from Ellie: Summer 2020
There is nothing like Summer in Hyde Park. Everything is a vibrant green, the warm weather and sun puts people in a cheerful mood and it is a great time to go for a ride out in Hyde Park. My favourite time of day to ride is in the morning, when you can still see the dew on the grass, just as the park is waking up.
Due to it not being possible for us to take clients out our horses have been enjoying a well deserved, long holiday in the country! However, I miss seeing everyone and having the horses in Central London. We are hoping to open up soon and I can assure you that the horses are eager to come back.
Despite not being at Hyde Park, I’ve had busy Summer at home at our family’s yard just 15 miles north of London.
I’m excited to share that my show jumping mare Dazzle had a foal earlier this season. It has been one of the highlights of my Summer. He is really adorable and very playful, even though he looks like he is napping in most of the photos.
Jodie, my sister has been competing the Show Jumping horses in France and Belgium this Summer. She was part of the International British Show Jumping team that went on to finish second in the Young Rider’s National Cup in the Netherlands before returning to England.
The Hyde Park Stables team has been working to launch our new website, while we prepare to re-open. In July, we brought the horses to Hyde Park for a day trip and photoshoot. It felt great to go for a hack in the park and I can relate to how many of you must really miss being able to come ride.
We will be sending out an update when we are ready to re-open, so sign-up for our mailing list if you haven’t already.
Looking forward to seeing everyone soon!
